Reporting Abuse
Please read this before you send an abuse report. Last update: 20/09/2026. This page is part of the Terms of Service and the Acceptable Use Policy.
We treat abuse as a threat to the network, other customers, and the law. Send a report with evidence. We act on what we can verify.
1. How to report
1.1 Email abuse@cyprusnode.com in English.
1.2 Include all of the following:
- The IP address, domain name, or service identifier
- The date and time of the incident, including time zone
- A short description of the abuse
- Evidence: logs, URLs, screenshots, or packet captures
- The impact, if you know it
1.3 Put URGENT in the subject for an active attack. Reports that miss the items above may be delayed.
2. What counts as abuse
2.1 Abuse includes, without limitation: spam or unsolicited bulk email; phishing, malware, or botnets; DDoS, brute force, or unauthorised scanning; illegal content under Cyprus law; copyright infringement; and any other breach of the AUP or the Terms.
2.2 If you resell our service, the contract is still with you. You are responsible for your users. You must pass abuse notices to them promptly.
3. How we handle a report
3.1 We check that the report has enough verifiable information.
3.2 We send it to the customer of the affected service.
3.3 They have up to 24 hours to reply with a fix or a justified request for more time. Serious cases can be suspended sooner.
3.4 If they do not reply in time, we may suspend the service until the issue is fixed.
3.5 We may ask the reporter or the customer for more evidence.
4. What we can and cannot see
4.1 We can use network metadata and public content hosted on the service.
4.2 We cannot see inside a VPS, mailbox, or password-protected app without the customer’s help. Without evidence, we may be unable to act.
5. If it is not resolved
5.1 If the customer said it was fixed and the abuse continues, send a new report. Refer to the earlier case, give new times, and attach new evidence.
5.2 False or malicious reports may be rejected. We may limit further submissions from that sender.
5.3 We may warn, throttle, suspend, or terminate without a cash refund, report crime, and recover our costs.
